Almost always my response is that I would be doing the exact things that I am --which is how I know I'm in the right places. However, something I do think about is the desired depth of my relationships. How would I change that? Would I want to meet as many more people as I can? Would I strengthen the ones I'm currently in? That is an area I think I would focus on. I wouldn't rush to spend all my money, travel to far-off corners of the globe, or have wild experiences (although I wouldn't complain to do much of that), I think I would instead really reconsider where I spend my social time and energy and stop living in a mentality of scarcity. I question whether I would put more into personal development (do those expensive programs I won't allow myself to spend money on), as is my current desire. I think I might, but I also think I might live the rest of my shortened time knowing I already have enough of everything I might want if I let myself believe it. (I would also buy expensive healthy food and everything currently in my Amazon shopping cart). Sample: "I'm participating in a #30daysofgrowth challenge and wanted to share one of my reflections: I am happy with how seriously I have increased my physical wellness through swing dancing each week and my emotional wellness through giving myself self-care structure, such as this participating in this challenge. I would like to improve my social wellness through joining more groups/events in New Westminster, so I can better know my neighbourhood and I would also like to increase my occupational wellness by finding or creating positions for myself that allow me to work in areas I am passionate about, while being part of a team (particularly in my neighbourhood! = dreams) and finding mentor(s)!! I've come to understand recently how much I prevent myself from connecting with others by not trusting them to accept me for my full self (imperfections and all) --most of this shows up in being afraid to say "no" or to ask for what I want. My first step has been understanding that fear and not compassion guides my actions. Optimally, I will allow abundance and faith in my worth to guide my mindset and feel completely expressed in every interaction I have. My thorn is that I am nervous about the success of this challenge and taking part in it. My rosebud is that next month I will either have a job or be partaking in an amazing program through YWCA. My rose is that I've really learnt that dreams can turn into reality by just putting pen on paper (words on a computer screen) and my business cards arrived in the mail! Welcome to #30daysofgrowth (starting February 1, 2017) This is a communal journey of self-discovery, expression, and connection and an opportunity for you to 'be as you are.' Part of the program involves being part a team and I will be arranging “accountability buddies.” If for some reason you are unable to commit to the full 30 days, please let me know the timeframe for which you can commit.
All components are important to complete. Please check-in with your accountability buddy when you have completed each day’s challenge and reach out to them for any support (both if you would like it or if you would like to offer it). This is a group journey, as well as a personal one, so you are encouraged to read the comment responses of each other individual and encourage each other.
Tips to be successful:
Before Day 1, I would like to collect your anonymous responses to share with the group for the following questions: What does it mean to tell the truth? What do you feel are the consequences of telling the truth? What’s your biggest fear about taking part in this challenge? What’s your biggest hope in taking part in this challenge? Check out the challenge here: https://www.facebook.com/events/379986229030122/
